Your overall health and wellness is our first priority at the John and Ella Byrd McCain Health and Counseling Services Center. It is important to know that waiting times vary depending on the number of patients who require assistance.
Appointments
Appointments may be made by calling (256) 372-5601 or (256) 372-5800. We offer walk-in services on Monday of each week from 8am - 11:30am & 1:30pm - 4:30pm. Please note these services are provided on a first come basis. Additionally, walk-ins will be permitted if time slot is available. If no time slot is available, you may be referred to a local walk-in clinic or Emergency Room.
Acute and Preventative Care
We provide treatment for non-emergency illnesses or injuries that include:
- Strains and sprains
- Colds/Flu-like symptoms
- Medication refill
- Physicals
Testing Services
Below are tests we provide:
- HIV testing
- STI/STD testing
- Pregnancy testing
- Drug testing
- Sickle Cell testing
- TB test
Women's Health
Women's health services include:
- Annual gynecological exams
- Routine pelvic exams
- Pap smears
- Contraception
- STI/STD/HIV testing
- Pregnancy testing
- Physical
Men's Health
Men’s health concerns vary. The services that we provide include:
- Genital exams
- STI/STD/HIV testing
- Sport injuries
- Physicals
Referrals
The clinic providers treat many illnesses and injuries; however, if the problem is beyond our scope, we will provide referrals to medical professionals in the Huntsville area. We also provide referrals to nearby walk-in clinics or urgent care centers.
