The Alabama A&M University Testing Services Center provides secure, professional testing services that support student success, academic excellence, and lifelong learning. We proudly serve Alabama A&M University students, faculty, staff, and members of the surrounding community by administering a variety of institutional, state, and national examinations.

We accomplish our mission by:

  • Providing accessible testing services that support students with approved accommodations and promote equal access to educational opportunities.

  • Administering institutional, state, national, and professional examinations in a secure, student-centered testing environment.

  • Supporting student success through placement testing, academic assessments, and graduation requirements.

  • Partnering with faculty and academic departments to provide reliable testing and assessment services that support teaching, learning, and program evaluation.

  • Delivering professional, efficient, and customer-focused services that foster integrity, respect, and excellence throughout the testing process.

  • Maintaining testing practices that reflect the professional standards established by the National College Testing Association (NCTA).

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule an exam?

Students can schedule eligible exams online through RegisterBlast.

How far in advance should I schedule?

Appointments must be scheduled at least 24 hours before your preferred testing time.

Students testing with accommodations should schedule at least five business days in advance.

What should I bring?

A valid government-issued or university-issued photo ID.

What if I arrive late?

Students arriving 15 minutes or more after their scheduled appointment may be required to reschedule.

Where do I store my belongings?

Secure lockers are available for phones, bags, smartwatches, notes, and other personal items.

Can someone take a test here if they do not attend Alabama A&M?

Yes. We offer proctoring services for students enrolled at other colleges and universities, as well as individuals taking professional certification examinations.

Non-AAMU Proctoring Services

Need a secure location to take an exam for another college, university, certification agency, or professional organization?

The Alabama A&M University Testing Services Center offers proctoring services for individuals who are not currently enrolled at Alabama A&M University.

Our testing center provides:

  • Secure computer-based testing
  • Paper-and-pencil examinations
  • Professional certification exams
  • Distance education proctoring
  • University and college examinations

Please schedule your appointment through RegisterBlast. Additional documentation from your institution may be required before your exam can be administered.

Do you provide testing accommodations?

Yes. Students approved through the Office of Accommodations and Accessibility Services may schedule accommodated testing through the Testing Services Center.

How do faculty request testing?

Faculty can submit requests for accommodated testing and departmental comprehensive exams through RegisterBlast.

Temproary Summer 2026 HOURS OF OPERATION
Monday - Thursday
7 am - 5pm
*Closed for lunch daily from  1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
(During the Summer, Testing Services is closed on Fridays
as the university adheres to 4/10 work week.)
