PAME II - Social Sciences

The PAME II assessments are designed to measure the basic knowledge and understanding achieved by students in their major field of study.

  • CRIMINAL JUSTICE
  • POLITICAL SCIENCE
  • SOCIOLOGY

    All PAME IIs are proctored, multiple choice exams designed to assess mastery of concepts and principles as well as knowledge expected of you at the conclusion of a major.
    Contact your appropriate faculty or advisor to verify eligibility for the PAME II.

WHEN IS THE PAME II ADMINISTERED?

  • The Testing Center will administer the PAME II for Spring 2024 graduates
    March 1 - April 26, 2024

  • Each exam date has limited seating in the Testing Lab.
    10:00 AM (10 slots per time) or
    2:00 PM (10 Slots per time)
    Time Allowance: 2 hours

  • Complete the  PAME II Testing Request - Spring 2024 to schedule your exam.
    If your first date/time choice is no longer available, you will have to select a different date/time.
    Do not wait until the last minute to schedule your exam.

You may test in the Testing Lab:
We are located in the JF Drake Learning Resource Center (LRC) 125.

or you may remotely (with department permission):
PAME is currently offered remotely via Blackboard with Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor (WebCam).

ON THE DAY OF THE TEST

If you are testing in the Lab:

  • Report to J. F. Drake Memorial LRC 125 (LRC) at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled test time.
  • Bring a form of identification containing a photograph
    (i.e driver's license, ID card, military ID, or passport).
    An ID on your phone will not be permissible
  • You will need to log on to Blackboard using your student credentials

If you are testing remotely,

  • Instructions will be sent to your AAMU email with remote access requirements to access your  exam.
  • Log on to Blackboard via Respondus icon with your student credentials.
  • Have your official form of identication ready for the Respondus verification process.
    (i.e driver's license, ID card, military ID, or passport).
    An ID on your phone will not be permissible.

The following items are prohibited but noit limited to in the testing area:

  • Cell phones or pagers
  • Hand-held calculators or calculator watches
  • Any listening, copying, photographic, transmission, or receiving devices
  • Non-medical electronic devices (laptop computers, digital assistants)
  • Wristwatch, smart watch, digital cameras
  • Dictionaries, books, pamphlets, reference materials, or papers of any kind
  • Slide rules, protractors, compasses, or rulers
  • Food or drinks, gum, mints
  • Cosmetics, lip blam
