Overview
Alabama A&M University’s Food Product Innovation Center is designed with the community in mind. The Center is built for product imagination all the way to the market. With our expertise we can meet the needs of the soon to be entrepreneurs in the early stages of product development to those already existing and well established companies needing assistance. We are focused on food from concept to commercialization. Our team combines years of experience from multiple backgrounds including food and beverage industry experts, academia, research, government, and overall enthusiastic food scientists. Our team works in a certified state of the art facility to serve as the food incubator of the Tennessee Valley.
OBJECTIVE
To provide affordable services to launch startup companies and assist already existing or established companies improve and build.
Mission
To bridge the gap of food innovation to market without causing an economic strain, while also providing a renowned experience of the advanced technology utilized in product development, food engineering, food analysis, food safety, and the business of manufacturing.

- Alabama A&M Food Science and Business Students partner with the industry of developing a new beer at a local craft brewery in downtown Huntsville, AL.
- Jabari Hinton and Maryam Shomope won first and third places, respectively, in their research competitions out of six CALNS FAS graduate students that were present.
