The College of Agricultural, Life, and Natural Sciences and the Cooperative Extension Division of Alabama A&M University (AAMU) invite you to join us for two upcoming Investiture events. Join us online on April 12 for a listening session and in-person on April 14 for a reception honoring President Daniel K. Wims. These two events are designed to promote engagement of community members.
Virtual Listening Session
When: Tuesday, April 12, Noon until 1:30 p.m. CST
Where: Zoom
Open to the public. Registration is required.
Tune in with special guest President Daniel K. Wims and a panel of community members
and land-grant stakeholders. The panelists will present ideas, suggestions, and strategies
for President Wim's consideration. The discussions will cover various topics ranging
from USDA priorities, community priorities, partnerships, and institutional capacity
building, to new product development.
We are excited for all our community members and stakeholders to join us as we apply
direct action in support of the theme of the Investiture: Advancing Our Legacy, Reimagining
our Future.
Things to Know
- Registration is required. The Zoom meeting number and link will be provided upon completing the online registration.
- The Chat function will be disabled. Please use the Question/Answer box to participate in the session.
- Submit topics for discussion. You may submit topics or "like" existing topics that you would like for panelists to address through our Ideaboardz. We will address as many topics as possible, given the time allotted.
- To join the virtual listening session, use the zoom information provided in your registration confirmation email. A reminder email will be issued on the day of the event. If you cannot locate your confirmation email, please call 256-690-4614.
On-Campus Reception
When: Thursday, April 14, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. CST
Where: Ernest L. Knight Complex, Alabama A&M University, 4900 Meridian St N, Huntsville, AL 35810.
Open to the public, seating is limited. Registration is required. Masks are required.
Join us for a reception in honor of President Daniel K. Wims. This event will take place in the ballroom of the Ernest Knight Center on the AAMU campus. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in "table talks" on hot topics related to advancing connections between communities across the state of Alabama and the Land Grant units at AAMU (teaching, research, and extension). There will also be great food, great music, goodies for those in attendance, and several special presentations that you don't want to miss!
We will be following the University’s COVID protocol. Masks are required.
