Participate in Supplemental Instruction Sessions

Students who attend class and consistently attend SI sessions usually improve their course grades by one or more letter grades. Attend SI sessions to:

  • Network with other students
  • Learn how to study better for your courses
  • Form productive study groups

View the SI Schedule for Your Course

Students may attend scheduled SI sessions at any time. To view the SI schedule:

  1. Log in to GradesFirst with your username (bulldogs.aamu.edu email) and password (A#).
  2. Select the blue “Schedule a Tutoring Appointment” button to the right of the screen.
  3. Click the drop down arrow to the right of “Please Select a Service Category,” and select “Supplemental Instruction.” 
  4. Select the course for which you want to view the SI Schedule to the right of “Please Select a Reason for the Appointment.”
  5. Click the blue “Next” button at the bottom right corner of the screen.
  6. Click the arrow to the right of “Please Select a Location for the Appointment” and select “Any Location.”
  7. Select the SI leader you want or click the blue “Next” button at the bottom right corner of the screen.
  8. Select the time of date and the time of day (morning or afternoon) to identify when sessions are being held.
  9. Click the blue “Next” button at the bottom right corner of the screen.
  10. Make a note of the days and times of the SI session times listed under the Drop-in times.
     

Note: The following message will appear if there are no SI sessions for your course.

“We're sorry, but there are currently no tutors available for the service you have selected. Please contact your advisor for help, or choose a different service.”
