Dean's Message

Welcome to the School of Graduate Studies’ website of Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University (AAMU). As an 1890 land-grant university with a rich history of inclusion and access, AAMU offers graduate degrees at the Masters, Educational Specialist, and Ph.D. levels in such fields as agriculture, business, education, engineering, and science. Our graduate programs are supported by dedicated, talented, and diverse faculty, who take seriously their roles in engaging and mentoring the students who enroll in their graduate programs. Graduates of our Master’s and doctoral programs are sought after by Fortune 500 companies, government, and academia.

Alabama A&M University is located in Normal, Alabama, which is adjacent to Huntsville, Alabama. Huntsville is referred to as “Rocket City” based on its historical roots in the development of the defense and space industries.

Huntsville is also home to the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, Redstone Arsenal, and other high-tech corporations. Huntsville is a dynamic and growing city with lots of cultural activities.
