State Black Archives

Since its inception in the Wilson Building on the Alabama A&M University campus, the State Black Archives Research Center and Museum has attracted numerous exhibits from around the nation. Nonetheless, curators and team members have always ensured that the building remains consistently counted among those key structures that facilitate and show appreciation for African-American art, history, and culture.

Whether hosting yet another Smithsonian traveling exhibit or developing displays for local heroes (e.g., Louis Crews or the institution’s First Ladies), the Archives team can be counted on to demonstrate taste and professionalism.
