The Collaborative Special Education Program at the Alabama A & M University is designed to prepare professional practitioners that possess the necessary skills needed to meet the diverse needs of individuals with exceptionalities. Our programs encompass rigorous coursework coupled with rich field experiences that align theory to practice and ensures that our candidates  are equipped to, "Start here and go Anywhere"!!

The Collaborative Special Education program offers two concentration paths. Those desiring to teach learners with exceptionalities in an Elementary setting may seek licensure in Collaborative Special Education K-6. Those desiring to teach learners with exceptionalities in a Secondary setting may seek licensure in Collaborative Special Education 6-12.
