School Counseling Concentration
The School Counseling Concentration prepares students with a Class B teaching certification to work as counselors in P-12 school settings.
The School Counseling concentration is a Alabama State Department of Education approved 48-51hr program that prepares individuals to work as school counselors in elementary, middle, and high school in P-12 schools. Successful completion, including a comprehensive exam and Praxis assessment, leads to traditional Class A certification. Students must also include a practicum and two internships in school settings.
