Regional Inservice Center
The AAMU/UAH Regional Inservice Center is one of eleven centers in the state of Alabama serving teachers in the area of professional development. Located on the campus of Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, we serve twelve school districts in North Alabama. It would be impossible to list all of the professional development services we offer-but a few include: Teacher Mentoring for National Board Certification, Turning High Poverty Schools into High Performing Schools, Closing the Achievement Gap and Differentiated Instruction.
The AAMU/UAH Regional Inservice Center also has a lending library. Administrators and teachers in our districts are welcome to check out books, videos and the latest DVD’s to enhance your onsite professional development.
Housed in our facility are two state initiatives, Science in Motion and Technology in Motion. The AAMU/UAH Regional Inservice Center is here to serve you! As a part of the Alabama A & M University family we also believe that “Service is Sovereignty”.
For more information, please contact Dr. Tammy L. Alexander, at (256) 372-5239 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alabama Technology in Motion (TiM) provides onsite job-embedded professional development for teachers to promote the use of technology in teaching and learning. The program offers services, materials and training that support teachers' professional growth in effective teaching practices, the creation of technology-rich learning environments and project-based learning.
The Technology in Motion program at AAMU is overseen by Mrs. Aundria Campbell. For more information, email her at email@example.com or call (256) 372-4426.
Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University is home for the biology component of The Alabama Science in Motion (ASIM) Program. This program transports biology labs to high schools in twelve school districts served by the AAMU/UAH Regional Inservice Center.
