AAMU Hosts Luncheon for Mental Health Professionals
Establishing Ties
For the first time, the Department of Psychology and Counseling at Alabama A&M University hosted a luncheon for the Mental Health Professionals of North Alabama (MHPNA) on Friday, December 2, in the Clyde Foster Auditorium.
MHPNA was founded five years ago as a grassroots organization for the purpose of connecting, networking and supporting local mental health practitioners. The organization is designed for multidisciplinary practitioners who treat mental health issues, including social workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners, Registered Dietitians, psychiatrists and others from five north Alabama counties.
