Alum CEO Focus of Podcast
Meet the Founder and CEO of EyeMail, Inc.
The essence of Alabama A&M University’s popular “Start Here, Go Anywhere” slogan began September 9 with the launch of a new podcast.
Hosted by Dr. Archie Tucker, AAMU vice president for the Office of Marketing, Communication and Advancement, the weekly, one-on-one “Start and Go” podcast highlights interesting people impacting the University and their respective communities.
From his home studio, Tucker engages thought-provoking conversations with AAMU students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as community members from across the state and beyond. Episodes are slated to continue each Wednesday during the fall and spring semester.
The September 16 edition will feature AAMU alumna Lisa S. Jones, founder and CEO of EyeMail, Inc. The 1989 graduate is responsible for integrating audio and video technology to bring traditional email communications to life. She has been featured in numerous publications, including Black Enterprise magazine, and was once dubbed Atlanta’s next tycoon.
Upcoming guests will include William Barnes, president and CEO of the Birmingham Urban League (Sept.23); and rising senior Justin Lindberg, a computer science major and the software developer behind the tech startup The Lituation (Sept. 30). The first podcast (Sept. 9) featured AAMU Athletics Director Bryan Hicks.
