Beyond Class, Mathematician Adds Empowerment
Beyond Class, Mathematician Adds Empowerment
As a mathematics instructor at Alabama A&M University, Diane Smith Gardner receives immeasurable fulfillment. However, the certified life coach, author and minister also relishes her calling as a prolific champion for the empowerment of girls and women.
Gardner is not only the guiding force behind Women of Worth (W.O.W.) campus ministries at AAMU, but she also possesses an unwavering drive to inspire and encourage the student body. That yearning has extended beyond the campus, targeting middle and high school girls with vibrant and free messages of self-esteem, self-love and self-respect. Moreover, Gardner has scheduled the “Empowering Girls Virtual Workshop Experience,” a February 6 online session underscoring her favorite motif of self-esteem.
She is the author of “Learning to Love Yourself from A to Z,” a woman’s devotional focusing on building self-esteem and self-love. She is also co-author of A Woman's Journey: Embracing Change to Pursue Purpose. The publication is available through Amazon.com.
