AAMU Participates in National Day of Service
Campus, Community Pride Through Volunteerism
Alabama A&M University celebrated the National Day of Service on Saturday, September 11, by hosting a campus-wide clean-up effort.
Ably arranged by Monica Clarke, AAMU service and learning coordinator, more than 150 students participated in the event, cleaning the campus, Normal Hill Student Apartments and surrounding areas. Student volunteers collected over 100 bags of trash and debris, stated Clarke, adding that similar campus and neighborhood efforts will be held throughout the semester.
The next campus clean-up event will be held Saturday, September 18, in front of Clyde Foster Auditorium at 7:30 a.m. For additional information, call Monica Clarke at (256) 372-4710.
