Campus Assists in Voter Registration Efforts
Civic Engagement
Several campus organizations came together Thursday, September 17, to assist students at Alabama A&M University exercise their full rights as American citizens.
AAMU’s Civic Engagement Team and its Coalition for Justice through Civic Engagement (CJCE) handled voter registration, voter verification and absentee ballot requests for students in the Marching Maroon and White Band. The organizations were assisted by Carlton Wright, director of bands; members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Nu Epsilon Chapter; and other volunteers.
