Resources Free and Open to A&M Students

When Alabama A&M University visited the J.F. Drake Memorial Learning Resources Center (LRC) on the morning of January 25, they were able to tour three high tech spaces.   PHOTOS

They were in awe of the Bulldog Makerspace Lab, the Digital Studio and the future Podcast Studio. AAMU Electronic Resources Librarian William Temmen said the Makerspace Lab has a 3D printer from which students make everything from engineering models to game tokens. The lab also has a wood milling machine and a sewing machine.

Additionally, students can use the Digital Studio to create YouTube videos and more, with access to Final Cut Pro and iMovie.  All of these services are free and open to all students. Tours continued into the afternoon, and drinks and light refreshments were provided.  Students completing each exhibit received a prize.

For additional information or to make an appointment to use the labs, contact jaquatta.causey@aamu.edu.
