Part of Telecommunicators Week

As part of last month’s Telecommunicators Week observance, Alabama A&M University’s Department of Public Safety recognized dispatchers who work on the unit’s three shifts.

The National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is observed every April to show gratitude to personnel involved in public safety communication.  The weeklong observance pays tribute to all persons dedicated to saving the lives of people.

Coordinated by Captain Brian Ruble, the campus observance recognized the following DPS personnel:

Maggie Marcus, 20 years (1st Shift)

Jazmyn Harris, 3 years (1st/2nd Shifts)

Leah Gilbert, 2 years (3rd Shift)

Dennis Kirchner, 1 year (2nd Shift)
