A&M Among Six Sites

Madison County Probate Judge Frank Barger has announced that Alabama A&M University will be among the six locations scheduled for October where voters will receive access to absentee voter assistance services.

The AAMU session will be held at the Elmore Gymnasium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, via a drive-thru set-up for easy and efficient access. The session will provide the following:

  • Absentee ballot application assistance
  • Notary service or witness for absentee ballots that need to be completed and returned
  • Drop-off location for fully completed absentee ballots in lieu of returning them via mail

NOTE:  Circuit Clerk Debra Kizer and staffers will not be issuing or processing ballots on site – voters who wish to vote via absentee ballot “same-day” may do so on the first floor of the Madison County Courthouse, on any business day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Campus contacts are Dr. Tonya Perry (Social Work) at tonya.perry@aamu.edu and Monica Clarke, AAMU service and learning coordinator, monica.clarke@aamu.edu.
