AAMU Alum Becomes Judge
Judge Stokes
An avid Bulldog fan and lover of ‘all things AAMU’ has achieved yet another honor in Alabama’s major port city.
Freddie Demetrius Stokes (above, center) has become a municipal court judge for the City of Mobile.
Stokes said the moment was made even more special by the fact that he was sworn in by his “friend and mentor, Alabama Supreme Court Justice Sarah Stewart,” along with his “Kappa” brother, Atty. James Brandyburg.
Last summer, Stokes was listed among Mobile’s “40 Under 40,” a coveted program designed to recognize 40 of the top individuals younger than age 40 who demonstrate leadership, professional excellence and a commitment to the Bay area community.
