Health & Counseling to Host ‘Your Health Matters’ Health Fair

Alabama A&M University’s Health & Counseling Services, in collaboration with HudsonAlpha’s “Information is Power” program and the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), invites students, faculty, staff and the community to the “Your Health Matters” Health Fair on Tuesday, March 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Knight Center.

This free event offers a variety of health screenings and wellness resources, including: blood pressure and glucose checks, rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing, genetic cancer screening, and vision screenings.

Additionally, LifeSouth Community Blood Centers will host a blood drive, and Massage Envy will provide massage therapy and stretching sessions. Attendees can also receive free flu shots (with an insurance card).

The health fair will feature representatives from:

  • Acclinate
  • American Heart Association
  • Chester Nutrition Counseling LLC
  • Crisis Services of North Alabama
  • Gurley Fitness
  • Health Unlimited Office of Health Equity & Minority Health
  • Thrive Alabama
  • United Way of Madison County
  • Walgreens
