It's activities galore for opening week on The Hill

New and returning students will definitely know they are back on “The Hill”, as the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development has pulled out all the stops to the Bulldog Family Reunion/Welcome Week 2019, August 11-18.

Bulldogs will have a chance to represent their respective states at the “Hey, Cousin!” Kick-Off Party on The Quad, Sunday, August 11, at 8 p.m.

A Family Game Night and SGA Meet & Greet will take place at the Ralph Lee Student Center at 6 p.m. on Monday, August 12.  The Student Center will return as the site for the Freshman Talent Show auditions on Tuesday, August 13, at 12 noon and the SGA Interest Meeting at 6 p.m.  Students will return to The Quad at 8 p.m. for a Luau/Beach Party at 8 p.m. (Dress according to the theme).

On Wednesday, August 14, the Clash of the Classes Night Pep Rally will begin at 8 p.m. on The Quad.  Designated class colors are:  graduate (black), senior (red), junior (yellow), sophomore (green) and freshman (white).

Registered student organizations will host the “At the Family Reunion” program on The Quad Thursday, August 15, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Friday, August 16, is action packed with some new “Bulldog Shenanigans,” a field on The Quad, 12-2 p.m.; the Freshman Talent Show in Elmore Gym at 6 p.m.; and “Millennium Fam,” and early 2000s Party on The Quad at 9 p.m. (Dress according to the theme).

Save some energy for The Block, the location of “Blockout”—the Block Party on Saturday, August 17, at 8 p.m.

Finally, on Sunday, August 18, at 5 p.m., the Bulldog Family will come together in Prayer on The Quad in memory of fallen students, wearing green in honor of Bulldog brother Franklin James Banks II and yellow in honor of Bulldog sister Deloi Cook.
