The energy was high at the Alabama A&M Event Center on Oct. 2 as students came together for a special Greek Night featuring a volleyball matchup between longtime rivals Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University.
Students, Greek organizations and fans filled the stands to support the Bulldogs and enjoy a night of competition and school spirit. With the rivalry between Alabama A&M and Alabama State already well established, the volleyball court gave fans another opportunity to represent their colors.

From the start of the match, students and members of Greek organizations cheered from the stands, creating an atmosphere that made the evening about more than volleyball. Greek Night brought members of different organizations together to support the Bulldogs, while free T-shirts gave fans another way to show their AAMU pride.
On the court, Alabama A&M took control early and maintained its momentum throughout the match. The Bulldogs delivered strong performances on their way to a 3-0 sweep of Alabama State.

Beyond the final score, the event gave students a chance to step away from classes, spend time with friends, support AAMU Athletics and enjoy the sense of community that comes with campus life.
Greek Night also highlighted the role student organizations play in bringing energy and engagement to campus events. With students representing their organizations and cheering throughout the match, the Event Center became the setting for a celebration of Greek life, athletics and Bulldog pride.
For Alabama A&M, the sweep added another victory to the storied rivalry and gave Bulldog fans plenty to celebrate.
Whether students came for the rivalry, Greek Night or simply to support their team, one thing was clear: A&M showed up, showed out and took home the win.
