AAMU Students Offered Unique Cultural Experience

Every year, the Decatur Morgan Hospital Foundation hosts a Dragon Boat Race & Festival to raise donations to support the community hospital, which treats more than 75,000 patients annually who need its services, regardless of their ability to pay. The Confucius Institute-Alabama A&M University (CIAAMU) is sponsoring a team to compete and seeks AAMU students to participate.  There are also future opportunities to compete in China as representatives of AAMU and USA.

Dragon Boat Race has origins dating back 2,300 years. Dragon boat racing is a fun, unique cultural event, featuring adrenaline-pumping action. Experience firsthand a Chinese traditional sport.
