David and Tamela Mann to Headline Alabama A&M University’s 2025 Homecoming Gospel Concert
Alabama A&M University today announced award-winning gospel power couple David and
Tamela Mann as headliners for the 2025 Homecoming Gospel Concert, taking place Sunday,
October 5, at 6:00 p.m. inside the AAMU Event Center.
The announcement comes as part of the University’s sesquicentennial celebration, a
year-long reflection on AAMU’s Rich Heritage and Bold Future. The Homecoming Gospel
Concert is one of the signature Homecoming events highlighting the faith, culture,
and community spirit that has guided AAMU for 150 years.
David and Tamela Mann are internationally celebrated entertainers who have left a
lasting imprint across gospel music, television, and stage.
Tamela Mann, a Grammy® Award-winning gospel singer, has captivated audiences with
her powerhouse vocals and chart-topping hits such as “Take Me to the King” and “Change
Me.” Her albums have consistently soared to the top of Billboard’s gospel charts,
earning her multiple Stellar, BET, and NAACP Image Awards.
David Mann, an accomplished actor, comedian, and singer, is beloved for his work in
Tyler Perry’s productions, including the role of “Mr. Brown” in Meet the Browns. Together,
the couple has built a remarkable career that blends ministry, entertainment, and
music, becoming symbols of family, faith, and resilience.
