Several Activities Planned to Commemorate MLK Holiday
Ways to Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with AAMU
Alabama A&M University will honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during the upcoming holiday weekend. Superintendent of Huntsville City Schools, Dr. Clarence Sutton, will be the guest speaker at the 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Tuesday, January 16, at 12:30 p.m. in Buchanan Hall Auditorium.
Sutton is a veteran of public education with nearly 30 years of experience as a teacher, principal, and central office administrator. The longtime educator and administrator believes in the power of partnerships with businesses and community organizations to enhance student learning and develop potential workforce opportunities for students after high school.
The campus will be closed Monday, January 15, but Bulldogs everywhere can celebrate through several events:
