Evening to Honor University Legacy and Contributions of Alumni Leaders

AAMU to Host Black History Month Legacy Gala Featuring Activist Tamika D. Mallory
Alabama A&M University is set to commemorate Black History Month with a Black History Month Legacy Gala on Wednesday, February 26, at 6:00 p.m. at the Knight Ballroom. Hosted by the Office of Student Activities & Leadership Development, this event will honor the University's rich legacy while celebrating alumni who have left a lasting impact through their leadership and contributions.
The highlight of the evening will be a keynote address by Tamika D. Mallory, an acclaimed activist, author, and social justice leader. Recognized as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People, Mallory gained national prominence as co-chair of the 2017 Women’s March on Washington and was later featured on Fortune’s list of the World’s Greatest Leaders. She is also the author of “State of Emergency,” inspired by her powerful speech during the George Floyd protests in Minneapolis.
