AAMU to Host Second Annual North Alabama Ag Expo

Alabama A&M University and its partners invite the public to the Second Annual North Alabama Ag Expo on Saturday, November 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at AAMU’s Agribition Center. The free event will showcase the region’s agricultural innovation and heritage through interactive exhibits, family activities, and hands-on learning opportunities.

Visitors can explore a wide range of exhibitors, vendors and food trucks, and take part in fun competitions and giveaways. The first 500 attendees will receive a free lunch, and the first 100 children will receive a free t-shirt. Door prizes will be available throughout the day, courtesy of participating vendors.

The Ag Expo explores all aspects of urban and traditional agriculture in North Alabama and showcases the latest agricultural products and services, including research, technology, equipment, and other resources that foster greater interest in agricultural careers and businesses. The event also seeks to develop partnerships that strengthen urban, suburban, and rural agricultural communities.

The Ag Expo also offers something for people of all ages who have an interest in agriculture – from backyard and community gardens to farm equipment. Attendees will experience the latest innovations in agricultural science, technology, and education, along with demonstrations featuring farm equipment, drones, and livestock. Younger visitors can enjoy the Kids Zone, complete with bounce houses and agricultural-themed activities, while adults can take part in cooking contests and tractor-driving competitions.

The 2025 North Alabama Ag Expo is supported by Platinum Sponsors Alabama Farmers Federation, Country Financial, Huntsville Tractor & Equipment, and Madison County Commissioner District 6, Violet Edwards.

“We want attendees to leave with a deeper appreciation for the agricultural industry in North Alabama,” said Donna Gilbert, event chair and manager of AAMU’s Agribition Center. “Whether you're a farmer, student, educator, or just curious about where your food comes from, this event offers hands-on learning, networking, and inspiration. It’s about celebrating our agricultural heritage while looking forward to future innovations.”
