Hannah Launches National Networking Platform for Interns

Bryson Hannah is busy this summer interning with the Southern Company in Transmission Line Design servicing Georgia Power Company. The junior mechanical engineering major is also helping solve a common problem among college interns – finding ways to connect with others.

Hannah’s new platform – Internably - connects interns across the U.S. by placing them into curated group chats based on their internship city and/or company. The idea is simple but powerful: give young professionals a space to build both social and professional relationships while working far from their home campuses.

“It’s easy to feel isolated when you’re interning in a new city where you don’t know anyone,” says Hannah. “I had this problem last summer. I wasn’t from Alabama. So, I was living in a different city and limited to networking with the interns I met within the company. Before this, there was no way for an Amazon intern to meet a Wels Fargo intern that may be working in the same city unless they met in person or somehow on social media.”

Hannah says the Internably platform breaks those barriers and invited college interns into lively group chats with those nearby.

Already in use across several major U.S. cities, Internably is gaining traction through word-of-mouth. Interns can download the app HERE
