Helping First Year Parents Support AAMU Students
AAMU to Launch Bulldog Parent University
Alabama A&M University is launching Bulldog Parent University to help first-year parents and families understand how they can best support their student(s). The webinar series is hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs with support from departments within the Student Affairs Division.
“In today's ever-changing educational landscape, parent engagement is proving to be a critical component in achieving student success," states Dr. Pamela Little, Executive Director of the AAMU Office of Multicultural Affairs. "Research has posited a robust correlation between active parent involvement and improved student outcomes, spanning academic achievement, social skills, and overall well-being. We want to do all we can to support both students and parents.”
The first webinar, “No Time to Fall Back” is scheduled for Monday, Oct 23, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Topics will include: Financial Aid, Housing, Student Accounts and Academic Resources.
