Incoming Freshmen Can Apply for the $5,000 Scholarship by March 31

Applications Now Open for AAMU STEM Star Scholarship
Alabama A&M University and the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville are now accepting applications for the STEM Star Scholarship, designed to support incoming freshmen with financial need who plan to pursue a STEM degree through the College of Engineering, Technology, and Physical Sciences.
Students can apply for the $5,000 scholarship ($2,500 per semester) from February 15 - March 31, 2025. Students must be incoming freshmen pursue a STEM degree within the College of Engineering, Technology, and Physical Sciences. They must also be in the top 10% of their high school class and a resident of Alabama.
Former Dean and Engineering Professor Dr. Chance Glenn founded the STEM Star Scholars program in 2013 with initial support from Alabama Power. Since then, it has helped numerous students succeed in STEM fields. Glenn encourages donors to give to keep this scholarship going.
“Education, particularly STEM education, is life changing,” says Glenn. “We have living examples of this through the wonderful alumni that we've produced over the years here at Alabama A&M. Now more than ever it is important to invest in our young people so that they can make life better for themselves, for each other, and for all of us.”
