Legendary DJ to Rock AAMU Event Center April 17

Alabama A&M University proudly announces that legendary DJ and producer DJ Jazzy Jeff will join the entertainment lineup for the 26th Annual Black-Tie Scholarship Gala, taking place April 17, 2026 at the AAMU Event Center.

A Grammy Award winner and globally respected turntable icon, DJ Jazzy Jeff is widely recognized as one of hip-hop’s foundational figures. As one-half of the duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, he helped define a generation of music with classics such as “Summertime” and “Parents Just Don’t Understand.” Beyond his early chart-topping success, Jeff has built an enduring international career as a producer, curator, and live performer known for his seamless mixing, musical versatility, and crowd-commanding presence. His ability to blend eras and genres ensures an unforgettable experience for audiences of all backgrounds.

The Black Tie Scholarship Gala is the University’s signature fundraising event and a premier opportunity for meaningful corporate and philanthropic partnership. The 2026 Gala is expected to welcome more than 1,000 alumni, corporate partners, business leaders, and community influencers for an elegant evening of celebration and impact.
