Pearsall Brings More Than 20 Years of Experience in Higher Education to AAMU
AAMU Names Pearsall Interim Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary Enterprise
Vice President of Business and Finance, Carlton Spellman, has named Donald R. Pearsall interim assistant vice president for Auxiliary Enterprise at Alabama A&M University. Pearsall, whose appointment took effect March 1, 2024, will lead various auxiliary enterprise units to include, food service and retail operations, university bookstore, transportation, purchasing and risk management, university one card, and mail services. Pearsall comes to AAMU after serving as associate vice president for Facility Operations, Construction and Risk Management at Saint Augustine’s University.
Prior to Saint Augustine’s, Pearsall served as assistant vice president for Auxiliary Administration at Edward Waters University, and Director of Purchasing and Auxiliary Services at Fayetteville State University. Pearsall is a native North Carolinian and United States Army veteran. Pearsall also served as a member of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
Pearsall brings more than 20 years of experience across the higher education landscape to A&M, and has a Bachelor of Arts in political science from North Carolina Central University, a Master of Business Administration from Strayer University, and a Master of Project Management from Western Carolina University.
