R&B and Southern Soul Sensation Joins DTLR HBCU Welcome Back Tour

Mike Clark Jr. Headlines Bulldog Welcome Bash at Alabama A&M
Alabama A&M University will welcome viral music sensation Mike Clark Jr. as the headliner for the Bulldog Welcome Bash, part of the DTLR 2025 HBCU Welcome Back Tour. The free concert will take place Friday, September 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on The Quad, capping off the 2025 Bulldog Welcome Experience.
Clark, a Macon, Georgia native, first captured national attention when videos of him singing at work went viral on TikTok. With a rich, soulful voice well beyond his years, Clark quickly became one of the most talked-about young performers in R&B and Southern Soul. His breakout hit, “Auntie Outside,” has amassed millions of views across social platforms, while songs like “Keep on Steppin,’” continue to grow his fanbase across the Southeast and beyond.
Standing at 6’2” with the presence of a linebacker, Clark originally planned to play football before dedicating himself fully to music. With encouragement from his father and former DJ, Michael Clark Sr., and a deal with Collipark Music, the teen sensation has built a career rooted in authenticity, talent, and respect. Industry veterans have praised Clark’s natural ability, with Collipark founder Michael Crooms affirming that “Mike doesn’t need a computer – he can sing for real.”
The Bulldog Welcome Bash lineup also includes fellow headliner, acclaimed actor and R&B artist Jacob Latimore, along with emerging performers Zeddy Will, Jaxs, and Austin Rogers. Together, they will deliver an unforgettable night of music, giveaways, and interactive experiences.
For more than two decades, lifestyle retailer DTLR has brought the HBCU Welcome Back Tour to campuses nationwide, offering free concerts, cultural experiences, and community engagement to help students launch the academic year feeling energized and celebrated.
The Bulldog Welcome Bash is open to all Alabama A&M students, and members of the community are welcome to join the celebration.
