AAMU students met with representatives from Vulcan Materials Company in the Arthur J. Bond Hall Auditorium Thursday to start brainstorming for the YARD THINK BIG NOW Competition.
Vulcan is giving away $100K in internships and scholarships to students with big ideas for improving HBCU campuses and communities.
AAMU's THINK BIG NOW Innovation Pitch Competition and Debate will be held Oct. 25 at Magic City Classic in Birmingham.

Benedict College at the Carolinas Classic Sept. 13 in Columbia, S.C.
North Carolina A&T Homecoming Nov. 22 in Greensboro, N.C.
Tennessee State University Homecoming Oct. 18 in Nashville, Tenn.
Tuskegee University Homecoming Nov. 8 in Tuskegee, Ala.
The YARD Finale THINK BIG Innovation Pitch Competition and Debate will be held Dec. 21 during the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta, Ga.
