Students to Vote Ahead of Event as Candidates Compete for Top Leadership Roles

AAMU to Select 2026-27 Mister and Miss AAMU During April 3 Competition
Alabama A&M University will host its annual Mister and Miss AAMU Competition on Friday, April 3, at 5 p.m. in the Knight Ballroom, with doors opening at 4:30 p.m.
The event marks the second year of the combined competition that includes both Mister and Miss AAMU candidates and will feature multiple phases designed to highlight scholarship, leadership and talent. Participants will compete in introductions, AAMU Man and Woman presentations, talent, oratorical speeches and evening wear, along with private interviews conducted by a panel of judges.
Mister and Miss AAMU will be announced at the conclusion of the competition. Class Queens and Royal Escorts will be announced later at the Bulldog Choice Awards on April 18.
Candidates were selected through the Office of Student Leadership and Engagement student leader application process. Winners will be determined through a combination of judges’ scores and student body votes. Students will cast their votes for Mister and Miss AAMU on April 2.
The candidates for Miss AAMU include Rae Bell, a junior computer science major from Mobile, Ala.; Niyah Cameron, a junior biology major with a pre-med concentration from Atlanta; and Kaitlyn Caudle, a junior computer science major from Madison, Ala.
The candidates for Mister AAMU include Jeremiah C. Hunt, a junior sports management major from Conyers, Ga., and Nathaniel Israel, a junior English major from Chicago.
The annual competition serves as a signature campus tradition, celebrating student leadership while providing a platform for participants to demonstrate their commitment to service, academic achievement and Bulldog pride.
