AAMU to Host Major League Baseball Pros
MLB Professionals with Cardinals, Giants to Speak at AAMU
Leaders of Major League Baseball's (MLB), San Francisco Giants, and St. Louis Cardinals will visit Alabama A&M to share their expertise, pathways, and opportunities available in the industry on Monday, April 15 at 11:30 a.m. in the AAMU Student Health & Wellness Center.
MLB is looking for students from all majors who are interested in learning more about
careers in the sports industry to attend. Students will have a chance to meet franchise
professionals and executives. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and lunch is provided by Mastercard
Presents: Tips and Resources to Manage Your Money Successfully. A presentation and
panel discussion with MLB professionals will follow at noon. At 1:00 p.m. students
will have a chance to connect directly with baseball professionals in a Q&A and networking
mixer.
This event is sponsored by MLB at Rickwood Field - a celebration of the oldest professional ballpark in the United States and former
home of the Birmingham Black Barons of the Negro Leagues. The St. Louis Cardinals
will play the San Francisco Giants at the historic Rickwood Field on June 20 as a
tribute to the Negro Leagues and its greatest living player, Birmingham native, Willie
Mays.
