Team on Goodwill Tour Engaging in Sports and Service Projects
Bulldogs Tour Dominican Republic for Summer Outreach
The Alabama A&M University men's basketball team is spreading goodwill and engaging in meaningful community service as part of their Summer Outreach program August 1-10 in the Dominican Republic.
During their stay, the Bulldogs are playing college and professional basketball teams and conducting basketball clinics, but the team is also visiting local communities, especially those in impoverished areas, to make a positive impact through various service projects.
The Bulldogs are dedicating their time to multiple service initiatives, including spending quality time with children at local orphanages and delivering essential food supplies to sugar cane villages.
The coaching staff and players are committed to using their platform to inspire young athletes in the Dominican Republic by demonstrating positive attitudes and sportsmanship both on and off the court.
According to NCAA regulations, intercollegiate teams are permitted to participate in a foreign tour once every four academic years, making this opportunity a rare and valuable experience for the Bulldogs.
