A 2012 Voorhees College criminal justice graduate who serves as program coordinator for Alabama A&M University’s Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development we well received in South Carolina on his home turf.
Gary Edwards was the keynote speaker for Voorhees’ Legacy Dinner, an activity designed to prep freshmen for their collegiate journey and to stress the importance of a college degree. Edwards urged the Class of 2023 to become focused early and to “work through any challenges and obstacles” along the way.
Edwards is a native of Piedmont, S.C., and he earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from AAMU. Voorhees is one of the few HBCU’s affiliated with The Episcopal Church.
