Helping First Year Parents Support Students
Bulldog Parent University to Focus on Campus Safety, Mental Health
Parents can sign up for Alabama A&M University’s fourth Bulldog Parent University webinar.
The webinar series, hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs with support from departments within the Student Affairs Division, is designed to help first-year parents and families understand how they can best support their student(s).
“In today's ever-changing educational landscape, parent engagement is proving to be a critical component in achieving student success,” states Dr. Pamela Little, Executive Director of the AAMU Office of Multicultural Affairs. “Research has posited a robust correlation between active parent involvement and improved student outcomes, spanning academic achievement, social skills, and overall well-being. We want to do all we can to support both students and parents.”
The fourth webinar, “What’s On Your Mind,” is Monday, February 12 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Topics include campus safety updates and mental health and wellness.
