AFC Assists CALNS Students

On May 1, 2019, the Alabama Farm Credit (AFC) continued its annual contribution to the College of Agricultural, Life and Natural Sciences (CALNS) at Alabama A&M University. For at least five years, formerly Ben Gore, then president and CEO, along with his executive officers agreed to invest in the academic pursuits of CALNS students through the offering of $5,000. Currently, Mel Koller has upheld the vision as the new CEO of AFC.

Once the funds are appropriated, the College provides cash awards of $1,250 to four students who have maintained stellar academic records and met the established criteria. This cycle of awards will be made available to students in the upcoming fall semester.

CALNS Dean Lloyd Walker thanked AFC for its "dedication, consistency and support of our students."
