Paid Student Mentors to Help Facilitate HBCU Scholars Program
Thurgood Marshall College Fund Seeks AAMU, Drake State Student Mentors
Alabama A&M University and Drake State Community & Technical College are seeking current Alabama A&M students to serve as mentors in the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Seeking, Observing and Achieving Results (SOAR) HBCU Scholars Program.
The one-week residential summer program takes place July 7–12 and provides high-achieving current high school juniors with a unique opportunity to explore the rich academic and cultural heritage of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
SOAR mentors will serve July 6 – 12 and will reside on campus with the SOAR participates. They will also be paid $750 for taking part. Current AAMU students can apply to become a mentor here.
