Lincoln-Moore to Spotlight Justice-Centered Math in San Antonio and Atlanta

Lincoln-Moore Named Featured Speaker at National Math Education Conferences
Alabama A&M University is proud to announce Christina Lincoln-Moore, a distinguished Ph.D. student in Mathematics Education, has been selected as a featured speaker at two of the nation’s most prominent mathematics education conferences.
Lincoln-Moore just presented at the 2025 Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching (CAMT) July 10–12 in San Antonio and is set to speak at the 57th Annual Conference of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) this October in Atlanta. These high-profile engagements solidify both her position as a national thought leader in math education and Alabama A&M’s growing influence on the national stage.
A veteran mathematics educator and Educational Specialist at the Los Angeles County Office of Education, Lincoln-Moore is known for her groundbreaking work in equity-centered, culturally responsive math instruction. At CAMT, she delivered a session titled “Empowering Math Classrooms: Transformative Learning Spaces within the BWXME Network,” which explored how to create joyful, justice-oriented math environments that empower historically underserved students and teachers alike. A Texas Instruments Education–sponsored reception will follow, offering attendees an opportunity to connect with Lincoln-Moore and learn more about her work.
Lincoln-Moore is the co-founder of Black Womxn in Mathematics Education (BWXME), a national network committed to dismantling systemic barriers in math education and amplifying the voices of Black women in the field. Her work aligns closely with the mission of Alabama A&M’s Ph.D. program, which aims to develop visionary leaders who transform education through research, innovation, and social justice.
“My goal is to ensure that every student – no matter their background – feels seen, heard, and valued in the math classroom,” said Lincoln-Moore. “Equity in mathematics isn’t just about access to content; it’s about creating spaces where brilliance is nurtured, joy is present, and justice is the foundation.”
