Take the 'Lock Your Meds' Pledge
Secure Your Medications
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System at Alabama A&M University is partnering with local and national organizations on drug education activities in October that include the national Lock Your Meds® campaign.
Coordinated by the Association of Extension Administrators, all nineteen 1890 land-grant institutions are participating in the Lock Your Meds campaign and have agreed to get a minimum of 5,000 people to take the Lock Your Meds® Pledge in their state. The Pledge asks participants to secure meds from unintended users, take regular inventory of medication, to safely dispose of unused or expired meds, to teach children and youth about the adverse effects of drugs, and to encourage others to take a stand against drug abuse.
We are asking all faculty, staff and students to take the Lock Your Meds Pledge at http://www.lockyourmeds.org/ to help us reach our goal.
