Bulldogs Explore the Multiverse at AAMU Fall Spectacular

The Alabama A&M University Office of Student Affairs hosted its annual Fall/Halloween Spectacular on The Quad Friday, bringing together students, faculty, staff and families for an afternoon of costumes, candy and community fun.

Attendees embraced the spirit of the season, dressing as a wide range of characters from pop culture. Marvel heroes such as Nick Fury and Tony Stark mingled with witches, Mario and several Where’s Waldo? figures. Faculty and staff brought children and grandchildren, while departments including Career Development Services set up booths to share information and hand out treats.

Junior criminal justice major Kyron Fletcher of Louisville, Kentucky, dressed as an attendant from the Jordan Peele film “Us.” Fletcher, who has volunteered at the Child Development Center since his freshman year, said, “I get to be with the kids. That's my favorite part. I’m not there to teach in a formal sense – I just get to play with them, share a few moments of fun, and help ensure they enjoy the day.

Many students and faculty chose to highlight the Marvel Multiverse, portraying different versions of beloved heroes from the comics and films. For those unfamiliar, the Marvel Multiverse is a collection of alternate realities where familiar characters can take on new forms, stories and adventures.

Reflecting on the event, Fletcher said, “Student Activities did an amazing job organizing this event. It’s a chance for everyone – students, faculty, staff, and families – to step away from classes and work, let loose, and simply have fun together. Most importantly, it all starts with the kids, who remind us why community and joy are just as important as learning. Happy Halloween from Bulldog Nation!”
