Tamia to Headline 26th Annual Alabama A&M University Black-Tie Scholarship Gala

Grammy-nominated R&B powerhouse Tamia will be the featured artist for the 26th Annual Alabama A&M University Black-Tie Scholarship Gala, taking place at 6:30 p.m. on April 17 at the AAMU Event Center.

Known for her timeless vocals and chart-topping hits such as “So Into You,” “Stranger in My House,” and “Officially Missing You,” Tamia has built a celebrated career spanning more than two decades. With multiple Grammy nominations, platinum-selling albums, and a reputation for delivering soulful, high-energy performances, she remains one of contemporary R&B’s most respected voices. 

The Black Tie Scholarship Gala is the University’s signature fundraising event and a premier opportunity for meaningful corporate and philanthropic partnership. The 2026 Gala is expected to welcome more than 1,000 alumni, corporate partners, business leaders, and community influencers for an unforgettable evening of elegance and purpose.
